Legendary Leader

Steve Stipanovich

Retired NBA player, Indiana Pacers
Class of 1979

Towering above his classmates at 6’9″, Steve Stipanovich experienced one of the most stellar runs in Spartan Basketball history thanks to his perseverance and commitment to his team. His star status followed him even after graduation: in 1983 Stipanovich was a first round draft pick for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, where from 1984–88 he averaged 13 points per game and 6 rebounds per game each season while starting 292 of his 322 games.

In this featured video interview, Stipanovich reconnects with one of his biggest influences–fellow Legendary Leader, Coach Grawer.
